230325 - Picture shows shepherdess Samantha Matthews sat at her desk on her farm in Brecon, South Wales with 10 day old Jacob lamb called Basil Samantha found Basil unresponsive and not breathing after he was born and was rejected by his mother, the shepherdess gave the lamb mouth to mouth and resuscitated him, Basil has since been hand-reared and doesn't leave his adopted mums side Samantha said "He's more like a Labrador puppy than a sheep, he doesn't like it when I leave him in the barn, and feeding him every four hours its easier just to keep him with me" At 10 days old Basil is fit and healthy and almost ready to explode the fields with the other young friends Samantha commented "We've already far too attached to Basil to ever sell him, I think he's going to be here forever now"
